AL Lutz Update - Captain EO Under Debate, MI Laugh Factory Coming to DL

Highlights include:

o Captain EO Return to DL - D23 Expo announcement did not happen, still probably returning for a 6-9 month run in 2010

o Monsters Inc Laugh Factory - coming to DL in 2011 to replace HISTA and/or Captain EO

o D23 Expo - Attendance was not as high as Disney expected but quality was very good

At least now we know what would go in HISTA after EO (if it does show). Not sure how Monsters fits into Tomorrowland but I am not going to nitpick about that! I've said anything is better than HISTA so I'm happy!

FWIW it is in TL at MK Orlando. It gets so-so reviews from many WDW vets and so when we saw it last year (twice) we were pleasantly surprised. It is really funny.

I also saw it at WDW last year and thought it was pretty clever. It's like Turtle Talk with Crush in that it's interactive and different every time. The guy sitting next to us (not with us) was the one they kept picking on, which made it even funnier watching his wife laugh and laugh.

The HISTA theater is much bigger than the theater that holds Monsters Laugh Floor in WDW. I know they would reconfigure some of the seating, but it's still going to be cavernous. I'm surprised it's not going in DCA with the current Monsters Inc ride.

In MK is located in Tomorrowland. I'm guessing that's why they decided to place it in Tomorrowland at DL as well. Just my guess!

It's such a cute clever show.

I agree that Laugh Floor would be better suited in DCA. They should create something new to go in Tomorrowland. Maybe something with the new Tron movie. Something that is actually about the future. Monster's Inc has nothing to do with the theme of Tomorrowland.
