I was curious... What is the big difference between the savannah view and the concierge rooms?
I know the obvious, but which do you prefer?

I THINK that the AVK Concerige all have a Savannah view, don't they?

However, when I used to pay for AKL the fact that I could spend that much money and NOT have a view of the Savannah pretty much turned me off to paying it LOL!

Based on the location, I think some of them are pool view instead of savanna view.

I MAY try to stay there some day if I can get it, but IMHO the whole point of AKL is the ANIMALS! I bought there just to have the 11 month booking to guarantee my view! Charging more for a worse view....

I stayed in conceirge last year, 3 are savannah view and 2 are pool view (five 2 bedroom lockoffs). We had 1 night in a pool view and 3 in a savannah view (one came open the next day). The ones that are savannah view don't have a great view, so if view if important to you, go with a regular savannah view. We were facing the construction, so it was really bad, maybe it will be better when that's done. The plus side of conceirge is we did the Sunrise Safari, which was awesome. They have a continental breakfast in the morning and appetizers & desserts at night. The lounge got very crowded at times and when they brought the food out at night people were like vulchers. It was nice to try some new things.

If you want to see animals outside your balcony, get the savanna view. We loved conceirge for the lounge, but we had one of the pool view rooms. It wasn't bad, but the only view of animals from our room was far off in the distance. Last month we had a savanna view, and LOVED sitting on the balcony in the afternoons just watching all the giraffes at the watering hole.
