AKV- With a Car or Without?

Hoping to stay at AKV for the first time this October with extended family. Assuming we can get decent flights, our family of 4 (DS12 & DD10) will be flying. My parents will also be flying. My sister and BIL may or may not join us and may fly or may drive.

I'm thinking we can make do without a car, since this will be an all-parks trip (vs our last DVC vacation which was no parks). We'll likely eat at most of the AKV restaurants as well as in the parks and some meals in our villa. Since our kids are older and more patient and don't require "stuff" the buses are no problem. And we'll probably do Garden Grocer or a similar company for groceries.

Any reason we really should have a car/cars?

No reason to need a car at all. In over 6 visits to AKV we've never had a car and had no issues.

Of course, You will hit folk who insist you have to do it their way and tell you to get a car.

I second twinklebug. We love AKV and never have a car. You will be fine.

I just returned from a stay at AKV and had no issues using the buses.
