We currently have a reservation for a one bedroom suite, but was put on a wait list for a smaller room. My question is how often does the wait list work out? Is it a crap shoot or does it usually come thru when you go on the wait list.

When are you going? It seems to me that someone recently posted that a studio became available for them in September. Just before 31 days out may be your best bet, because people cancel before their points go into holding.

i also have a res for a 1br and am waitlisted for 2 studios which would work out better for us.

i am not holding out much hope as we are there for 2 weeks. going sep 22nd.

It depends on when you are going, but I would say you have an excellent chance. New rooms are released monthly as they finish renovation, and many new AKL owners are not ready to travel so soon after purchase. I bet it comes thru for you. Good Luck!

We had a reservation package thru AA for December 7th - 11th, but when we bought into DVC, we cancelled two nights and used points for two of the nights we cancelled... and the only room they had was a 1 bedroom.
