Anyone have any info or photos on AKV Standard Value Studio at Jambo House? Any into is much appreciated...:goodvibes

I didn't take any pictures of our value studio, but I can tell you that it was a very small room. Value studios are 316 sq. ft. There was a queen sized bed and a sleeper sofa with a nightstand in between them. The bathroom is quite small, with not much space to stand in front of the toilet and shower. I stayed with my mother and while it was adequate for two adults, I missed our usual 1 bedroom. Value studios either face the parking lot, the Uzima pool (located on the Giraffe Trail) or if you are lucky, the Sunset Savanna. We received a pool view room close to the elevator. It was quiet and we did not hear the elevator at all. The Value studios are great point savers, so that is a nice benefit.

I haven't stayed in a Standard view room, but at Jambo House, it is 365 sq. ft and all Jambo House Standard view rooms face the pool.

Just returned from staying in one on 8/30. Will try to post photos I took tomorrow when DD can show me how to do it. Upon entering the room you walk past the kitchen/bathroom sink area first and then into the living area. The couch is located farthest away from the slider with the bed next to it. There is a nightstand next to the bed on both sides. The space between the bed and slider was about the width of the nightstand. On the other wall is the armoire and dresser with a television on it and the table and two chairs are nearest to the slider on that side of the room. There are also two small tables in front of the couch.

The room was adequate in size for myself and my two children though when the couch was turned into the bed space between the two tables and armoire was tight.

I liked the room with the exception of wishing the couch was nearest to the slider. With the two kids sleeping in the bed, it would have been nice to have easier access to the patio when I stayed up later than them. Otherwise no complaints.

Used good advice found on the boards about storing suitcases under the beds and putting the couch cushions on top of the armoire when using couch as a bed. Helped get them out of the way without wasting any space.

Thanks, everyone! It will just be my husband and myself and we will be at the F&W fest most of the time, so I think this was a good pick for us.

Thanks again!:goodvibes

That youtube video is a pretty good description. I've stayed in 4 different value studios, and only found a few differences from that. First, of course, is all DVCs at WDW give free WIRED internet, not wireless. Then, the table I had in all 4 of my value studios was round-

And in some, I got a closet, not an armoire. And then in one, much to my surprise, I didn't have a freezer section in my little refrigerator-

Not really a problem, because the ice machine was close by. I check in to a value studio in 2 weeks, and I'm really hoping for a savannah view again. Those are especially terrific.

DSis checks into one on Sunday with a DGF! I've a value 2 bedroom for the other 4 of us, we hope to be near each other and we hope at least one of the villas is savannah view!:goodvibes

We (two adults) stayed in one for four nights in march and were very satisfied. We barely noticed the size difference and like one of the previous posters we had a pool view room near the elevator. We found it to be very quiet and convenient. (We don't hang around the room much when we're at Disney). We would definitely try to get another value studio in the future.
