AKV value villa --

looking for advice here --- we are going with another family. we decided that based on cost and ability to all be under my points that the value AKV villa 1br for both of us would be perfect. I easily booked the first room...then 2 non consecutive days for the second room were unavailable. I booked the 4 consecutive nights. I also booked the first night that was available so I was able to get 5 of the 7 nights. obviously no one knows the real answer...but I dont' want to do this if this is just a pipe dream to get the Thursday evening (has to be someone booked for that night only I would think ...) I wouldn't mind 1 switch on the last night(I did waitlist the last night and booked a 1 br standard view instead). if this is gonna be something that is so unlikely to possibly happen ever then I need to think about switching dates or changing plans for both rooms.

It is unpredictable but if you are still many months out from date of arrival and looking only for one or two nights, waitlists often come through.

Note, it is not likely that the closed out night is due to someone having only a one night reservation. It is more likely that it is simply a day where those just beginning a vacation and checking in outnumber by enough those who are ending vacations and checking out that day.

It will vary a lot depending when you booked for. There are always going to be some hard to get dates. Don't give up if you have quite a few months to go.

Personally, I would book the standard room and waitlist the value room.

we actually do one night at AKV on each trip....low points for a half day use of a room.
