The Value villas are less expensive because they are smaller than the Standard View, Savanna View and Concierge villas. The occupancy numbers are lower for the Values as well (4 in a Value 1BR vs. 5 for the non-Value 1BRs at AKV, 8 in a Value 2BR vs. 9 for the non-Value 2BRs at AKV). The possible views are Sunset Savanna, pool or parking lot. In the map below, the Value villas are located in the area marked in lime green. (Yellow = Standard View, Pink = Concierge, Orange blobs = GVs, everything else is Savanna View).
We stayed at Animal Kingdom lodge one night (Feb 1) in a Value Studio, after our Boardwalk villa stay, We had requested a Savanna view but I was ready for the worst view possible!! We did get a Savanna view and it was wonderful!
BUT that said I would have been okay with any view, for the price(I paid cash-booking through MS) and I think it was like $100 less for the value than the savanna view.
We had a value studio in the area 3, Sunset Savannah, and it was wonderful. I must admit, that it was only a one night, Saturday night stay. For me, AKV is all about the animals, and not the point savings, I just wanted to test our "luck." I did not make a request.
