AKV value rooms

I know this has been posted before, but I can't find it.
What is the difference between a value room and a regular room? I know that the value rooms are in Jambo but I can't remember the other differences. Also, where are these located, and what are the views like from these rooms? I thought I remembered a post that had the resort labeled with room locations, but again can't find it.
Also what has been peoples experiences with booking these at the 7 month window for a 2 bedroom? We are trying to be point frugal as this will be an extra trip that will include my SIL and neice who have never stayed on Disney property. I think they would love AKV.

PS. I've stayed up to 3 nights in a value, either studio with just DH or in a 1 bedroom with 2 DGF's. They've either faced the savannah or pool and they were wonderful short stays. I've booked some of these short stays at 6 months out. I often book the values for weekend stays, fewer points than other places, and I've had lots of luck at 5-6 months out.

Thanks Bobbi. We'll see where they want to stay. It would be nice to have the extra sleeper chair in the bigger villas in the living room so the three big kids could sleep in there together. It also may be worth springing for a SV. Then again, BCV is a favorite, or a THV.... The choices. Thanks again.

In Jambo, except for concierge, all DVC villas are on the 5th floor.

How many SV view Value rooms are there? We were considering changing the type of room we get when we take the family next time to 2- 2bd value AKV's. It would save us a significant amount of points, but I don't think hubby likes the fact that he has the possibility of anything but savannah view. How are the balconies in the values?

I know the sq. footage is different in the Value rooms, but the sleeping capacity is the same, yes?

The studios have a bed and a sleeper, etc?

The value 1 bedrooms can only accomodate 4. There is not a sleeper chair, the chair does not open. There's not enough room.

The studios have the Q bed and the double sleeper, and they sleep 4.

The balconies of the Value rooms are the same width as those on the non-Value rooms but are not as deep.

There is a great map here showing the location of the 5th floor rooms in Jambo House. The Value rooms are located along the Giraffe and Ostrich trails so you can see from the map the number of savanna view, parking lot view and pool view Value rooms.
