AKV Value room requests?

We were just able to pick up a AKV Value Studio for January 17th and I have seen on another site that you cannot request a view for value. Is this correct? If so, online check in would make sense since you get what you get, right? I usually do not do online since we never seem to get our requests when we do but I figured if it does not matter I might as well. Opinions?

That's correct; they don't allow requests for value rooms. During online check-in, they'll allow you to make requests, but those apply to the entire resort and they will be ignored for value rooms.

The rooms are split 40%/40%/20% between savanna, pool, and parking lot views, and the parking lot view isn't that bad.

Hahaha you can thank me, I just moved my AKL value to SSR Jan 16-23. We has a value in September and had an awesome pool view.

They don't allow view requests for Value rooms but if I'm remembering correctly I think you can make other requests. For example, you might be able to request a dedicated studio or to be close to the lobby or even a specific room number (though a request that specific is unlikely to be successful). MS will not accept requests for "savanna view" or "pool view" however.

I had a room request last week and I got the room that I requested. And I also got a text at 10:30am telling me that my room was ready.

No problem. SSR isn't my 1st choice but it's awesome to have the 1bed with laundry when traveling with my little guy and watching our luggage fees. Less clothes = less fees = more Disney cash.

I think it never hurts to ask nicely or to mention anything special happening during your stay like a birthday or anniversary. I have rented points for AKL Value Studios twice and we have had views with many animals both times. Room 5120 last time was wonderful!
