So there is availability for 1 bedroom value at akv….should I jump on this or take the standard for a little more?? our plan is to be at parks and out exploring the resort a lot so not in the room a lot?!

The Value 1-bedroom is approx. 629 sq ft. The other 1-bedrooms in Jambo House are approx. 710 sq ft. The 1-bedrooms in Kidani Village are approx. 807 sq ft. The Value 1-bedroom does not have a sleeper chair (still has sleeper sofa), all other AKV 1-bedrooms have both the sleeper sofa and sleeper chair.

The Kidani Village 1-bedrooms will have 2 bath rooms, Jambo House 1-bedrooms have only 1.

Depends on a couple of things.....do you need the extra bathroom? Do you have a preference on Jambo vs Kidani? The value rooms are at Jambo and don't have the extra bathroom in the living area. Also what is the size of your traveling party? There is the extra sleeper chair in the std room at Kidani. If your group is small, and you won't be in the room much, save the points and go value. If you need the extra sleeping and bathroom space, I would go std at Kidani. Whatever you choose, enjoy your stay!

Only the Values don't have the sleeper chair. All other 1 and 2 bedroom Villas in both Jambo House and Kidani Village have the sleeper chair in addition to the Sleeper Sofa.

there are two adults and three kids (2,5,7) if that helps??

I'd go for the standard. If your 2 year old will be 3 by the date of check-in, you can't stay in a value.

With kids the ages of yours, you don't plan any down time or nap time in the villa? I'd go for more space rather than less. You'll be in the villa more than you expect.

I don't know if the pack and play will fit in the bedroom of the value one bedroom villa. Your little one would have to be in the living room with the other two. The bedroom is really small and tight in the value villa.

So we decided on std in kidani. Will I regret not doing savanha view?? We are rope drop people and I have heard the animals are in from8-10am. We could see them around the resort. Just don't want to regret not doing it?!?

Savanah view is unique. BUT there are a ton of chances to see the animals throughout the resort. If you're not normally a balcony person, I don't think you'll regret it.

I haven't stayed Savannah view, so I can't speak to how amazing it may be to have animals right outside your balcony, but I can say that I never felt deprived of animal viewing locations while staying in a standard room at Kidani.
It sounds like you'll mainly be in the room for sleeping, not necessarily hanging out for hours on the balcony animal-watching. You have plenty if opportunities to see the Savannah just walking to the lobby or bus, and there are outdoor viewing spots off the lobby also.
Not saying a Savannah view isn't "worth it," per se, but I wouldn't worry about missing out too much.
