In general, is it hard to book an AKV value studio at 7 months? I know that the concierge is impossible, but are there more value rooms than concierge? Thank you so much.

I called at 7 months out for March (2nd week) and there was a value 2BR available... in hindsight I should have taken it to try it, but went with a Kidani Standard View instead.

I booked for FEB 08 in January 08 (about 4 weeks out), it may have been the season. If you've never stayed in a value studio keep in mind they are very, very small.

How "relatively speaking" is small in comparison to being used to staying in rooms at Pop, and Wilderness lodge?

We are new to DVC, family of 3, not really concerned too much with room size. Compared to our last stay in the Wilderness Lodge (not the villas) how does the value room at AK compare in size?

We loved WL but honestly were't that impressed with room size compared to Pop Century. We noted that the real upgrade was the theme and the bus service.

POP 260 sf
AKV Value 316 sf
WL rooms are 340 sf and studios are 356 sf

This puts AKV Value studio about on par with CSR or POR/FQ which are 314.

Since it is 3 of you I assume you will need to open the fold out sofa. This leaves virtually no room to walk around. We actually had to keep a suitcase in the tub at night in order to keep enough room to walk to the bathroom.

Just booked a value villa in Jambo house for Easter Week right at the 7 month mark. They had standard and savannah view as well....

We've stayed in Studios lots of times and the size is very manageable. Much bigger than Pop room!
