Just wanted to share a little joy with those who understand what I'm talking about :). We are West Coasters, and most of our trips are to Disneyland, which is our very favorite park. We make it out to WDW rarely, but do own a small AKV contract (25 points for direct perks) as we love that resort. The last time we stayed there, my eldest was 12 and the youngest were 3 and 4 months. My son is now 11 and loves animals more than anything. We were last at WDW in March of 2019, but my eldest wasn't able to go; that time we stayed at HRH at Universal and were able to get a studio waitlist at BWV during Flower and Garden. It was a great trip; we absolutely loved Universal (youngest is a big HP fan and middle loves thrill rides) and decided in the future we'd end our trips there as it's much easier/more relaxing than WDW.

So, eldest has been asking for a trip, and she and I decided we'd plan a mother/kids trip, surprising the two youngest, for this May. We have 10 nights, with the middle stay DVC, ending at Hard Rock again. We were able to get 4 round trip tickets from Oregon to Orlando on Alaska Airlines for $600 total, which is insanely cheap....all was going well. Then DH decided he wanted to go. Now we're having to accommodate 5, and you all know that things get much more complicated. I got a point transfer from someone and was able to move the middle of our stay from a studio to a Kidani 1 bedroom-and then yesterday my value 2 bedroom waitlist came through! Plan now is to start at Bonnet Creek-enjoy the roominess and save some money and since there are basically no perks for onsite stays right now....-then AKV then end up in pretty close quarters at HRH. Not idea, but we don't mind split stays and man, just excited to travel anywhere.

Cross your fingers for us-DH is getting his vaccine and hopefully eldest and I will as well by then. Our case numbers are really low here and I'm finding myself hoping online school continues through early May :earboy2:-everything but the DVC points are refundable.

Have a wonderful trip. I'm really missing Disney right now - haven't traveled since March 14 (cut a work trip short to come back home due to the pandemic). Fond memories of the 2bdr Kidani villas. Sending you lots of pixie just. Enjoy! :flower1:

Awww thank you so much! Our only previous time at AKV was in one of those 2 bedroom kidani villas-they were so amazing. (Very first DVC property stay ever and a tough act to follow). Here’s to all of us safely traveling soon!
