How many SV studios are at AKV and can these be booked at less than 7 months?

Don't know exact count but be aware about 80% of all rooms are savanna view, most rooms are 2BR lock-offs (meaning large number can be studio and 1BR) and many times of year they are easy to get at 7 months. As with anywhere, very high demand times like Christmas week, other holidays may be more difficult at 7 months out, and if you wait much beyond the 7 month window the risk of not finding something increases significantly.

Odds are better there than some other DVC's as Kidani is so large. We picked up 3 nights in a Sav View Studio last March a couple of weeks out as it was an extra trip we hadn't planned on - we had an amazing room and stay that trip.

I booked one about a week ago for an upcomming trip in Jan. At the time, there were SV studios available in both Jambo and Kidani.

When I call looking for a Value Studio to save points (and there isn't any available) it seems they almost always have a Sav view to offer me to reserve for the dates I inquire about.

There are VERY few Value studios, so this is not a shock by any means. Most on here agree, that the best chances to get a Value is at the 11 month window, there have been very few sucess stories at the 7 month window.

Got a SV studio at jambo for 11/28-12/2 by booking the middle two nights which were available at about 3 months out and waitlisting for the 1st and last nights which came through. I would think that as long as it isn't for Christmas, NYE you stand a good chance at less than 7 months.

we stayedcin a SV studio this past weekend. I think I booked it mid to late May without any issues. Loved Kidani despite the long walk to our room! We will be going back. Stayed at BLT last month and will not go back there. AK has a much more relaxed resort feel.
