AKV non savanna view room was that a mistake?

We will be there on Friday, this is our first time staying at AKV, we bought into AKV-Kidani last February and we were hoping Kidani would've been done by our spring break trip but it is not, which we knew about. Anyways, we have a 2 bedroom lockoff/standard view. With all the constuction and moving of the animals on the savanna's I thought, why use the extra points for a savanna view room. Are there numerous places that we can still see the animals? Are the views of the pool, parking lot, whatever, o.k.?

Another post says the animals are back on sunset savanna now so a savanna view room would give you a view of the animals. If you don't have such a room booked, there still are numerous places to sit and watch the animals from public locations.

Standard views in Jambo are pretty nice views of the pool. I hope you do like it.

We stayed in a savannah view in the fall, it was nice and neat that we could say we had the savannah view, but honestly I don't need it in the future. There are so many great viewing areas around AKV, most of the time we had better views in places other than our balcony.

But, in all honesty, I am not a huge animal person anyway. I walk out on the balcony and see the animals, watch them for 5 minutes and am ready to move on. Watching a giraffe standing there eating for more than that just doesn't do it for me. Now, maybe if there were tigers running around playing with balls or something more entertaining!

I just chose a standard view for the third time at AKV. And yet, I've stayed in savanna view twice. Yes, there are plenty of great places to watch the animals. There are several nice porch areas with rocking chairs overlooking the savanna, a room with big windows off the lobby overlooking a savanna,lots of nice places. From my experience, I think you made a very good choice.
