AKV laundry for guests staying in a studio????

I was wondering if anyone knows if AKV (Jambo house) will have a place to do laundry other than the larger rooms. My husband and I want to stay in a studio there but are worried that there isn't going to be laundry facilities. Does anyone know????

I haven't heard and I was wondering about the laundry situation too.

We booked AKV in October , but we're doing 4 days in a one bedroom and 3 days in a studio so we'll be able to do laundry when we're in the one bedroom.

I was also wondering. We will be staying in a studio for a week after a week on the Magic, so we really would rather pack just for one week & do laundry at AKV, than have to pack for two weeks. I already way over-pack as it is!

Never heard back from my guide but when I was adding on points for AKV I got a call from the processing office asking if I had any questions. When I called back I asked her if she knew. She said that AKV will have normal washer/dryer facilities for guests as well as the normal washer/dryer in 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom units. She did not say where it was located. I wonder if AKL already has a laundry room?

So, hopefully she was correct. We are counting on it for our Jan. stay!!

AKL has a laundry room. I haven't been keeping up as to where the villas are located so I don't know how close it will be. But the current laundry room at AKL is near Simba's cubhouse, not too far from the pool area.

I thought the laundry was towards the end of one of the wings (maybe on the Arusha Savannah?). Kind of towards the middle of that end? I know I used one there a few years back.

IIRC, wasn't there a post with the information that there would be a laundry room put on the 5th floor as part of the DVC refurbishment?

You were not dreaming it! I saw that post too. There will be a laundry area on the 5th floor. I read it too. Woo hoo!

According to the AKL map, there are two laundry rooms in the two places mentioned by carol1231 and Deb & Bill: One is on the 2nd floor out at the last "branch" along the Kudu Trail, the other is on the 1st floor near Simba's Clubhouse.

Re: putting a laundry area on the 5th floor for DVC members, that would be handy.

True, but DVC members typically get a free laundry room...the current one at AKL is coin op and I doubt that will change.

I, too, remember a post by someone saying their guide told them there will be a laundry room for DVC guests only (I'm assuming you'll need to swipe your key card) on the 5th floor.
