OK, I'm sure this has been posted before, but I can't really find anything right now...

for those of you who have recently returned from an AKV 1 BR or more stay...

I've read and re-read through the planner book, and see the list of basic kitchen equipment in the units, but my specific question relates to the "pots and pans with lids" - what are they? Is it like one frying pan, and a couple of pots, or two frying pans, or what?

We're working on a box to send down ahead of our Oct. trip for stuff to leave in our OL box, and we don't want to either have more than we need or the opposite, and NOT have what we need.

Thanks.

I recall a large frying pan, 2 sauce pans (one big enough for pasta) each with lids. I don't remember if there was a smaller frying pan. I think if you're planning on cooking eggs, pack some Pam or magarine -- eggs can stick.

There is also a round glass casserole dish and a lasagna glass pan. I used the casserole dish to bake a pumpkin pie -- no pie/cake tins.

HTH

I haven't stayed in a 1BR/2BR at AKV but here is a photo from the model room showing pots and pans. The ones provided may not look exactly like these but this should give you an idea of the number and size provided. There is probably a frying pan as well but I don't have a photo of it.

There is a link in my signature to more photos from the kitchen in the model room.

Thank you! This was very helpful. I was just in the models at Doorway to Dreams while in Chicago on business Tuesday for a little "fix" before we take our trip, and saw the dishes/glassware in the cupboard, but totally forgot to check out the cookware. Duh!

Yep, we've got the PAM - because breakfast is specifically what we were thinking about...and don't want to stick to just cereal. Eggs, pancakes, coffeecake and the like are on our minds for this trip, so knowing what extras we need is important. One spaghetti dinner too, so that big pot will be great.

Thanks all.

Thanks to the Pam, you shouldn't have to stick to anything. :lmao: Sorry... I just couldn't resist!

Re: the pots and pans, be sure you check the drawer under the stove. Some AKV guests have posting finding some of the cookware stored there.
