Any thoughts on the pro's and con's between these two resorts? Are the rooms larger at Kidani than they are Jambo? I'm pretty sure both have two bathrooms in the 1BR and (3) bathrooms in the 2BR's.

It just seems to me that Jambo house has better amenities as far as food and activities.

Is there anything in the works to get a Counter Service option put in at Kidani? How in the world could they have messed that up? :confused3

Only Kidani has the extra bathroom. 1BR's in Jambo have 1 bathroom and 2BR's have 2 bathrooms. Also, Jambo does not have the shower separate from the tub in the 1BR & 2BR's. That's also only Kidani.

Jambo pros:
value units to save points.
IMO-much better resort layout
CS available
Jiko
Boma

Kidani pros:
1-2 br has extra bathroom
water play area and slide
underground parking
Sanaa

it is not a bad walk to each resort from the other. Depending on your needs or wants, each has its strength.

To add to what has already been posted, the master bath in Kidani 1BR/2BR is directly connected to the master bedroom so you can move between them in privacy. In Jambo, you have to cross a small hallway to move between the master bedroom and bathroom in view of anyone in the kitchen or living area.

Kidani 1BR/2BRs have a closet in the master bath. Jambo 1BR/2BRs have an armoire in the master bedroom. Unfortunately there is a lot of stuff in the closet in Kidani (pedestal safe and the high chair) so there isn't a lot of room for clothes but I still prefer it to an armoire.

As mentioned already, Jambo 1BR/2BRs have a combined whirlpool tub and shower, Kidani 1BR/2BRs have a separate shower stall. For this reason alone, I would choose Kidani over Jambo when staying in a 1BR. If staying in a studio, I would opt for Jambo. The studios are approximately the same size but the bathroom layout is different. I prefer the layout in the Jambo studios where the vanity area is open and the toilet and tub are in their own separate room. In Kidani, there is a door into the vanity area and the tub is in that area. There is another room inside the vanity/tub room with the toilet. I find the Jambo layout more convenient since the vanity area is available for use even if someone is in the shower. Unfortunately the Jambo studios are really short on storage space since most of them have no closet and only half of the armoire can be used for clothes.

WE prefer the Jambo house. It really makes a big difference having the food court close if needed. The lobby is beautiful and like the overall layout better. There is also a playground and i like the secluded hottubs. they aren't really secluded at Kadani. Yes there is a splash pad area, but my kids love the jambo pool just as well, so we just go over to kadani if we want to use it. The slide at Kadani hurts, the seams are not smooth, its also really windy which gets me a bit dizzy, i like jambo where it's smooth and curves only a bit. There is activities at both, but there seems to be more at jambo like the cookie decorating and face painting all complimentary. Now my daughter did do the Camp Kidani which she really liked, but again that was for a couple of hours. But if you do decide to do Kadani it is still wonderful and wouldn't hesitate to stay there, just prefer Jambo.

We really liked Jambo too. Having all the restaurants there is a BIG plus. We also used the Kid's club, it was nice not to have to shlep there from Kidani.

whats the bed layout in each 1 bedroom?

where is the pull out?
There is a king bed in the master bedroom and a queen-size pullout sofa in the living area. In all but the Value 1BRs there is also a twin-size sleeper chair in the living area.

So then Standard & Savannah 1BRs and 2BRs at Jambo have sleeper chair ?

Also, heard some Grand Villas have pool table; would that be at Jambo, Kidani or both ?

Yes the Standard View, Savanna View and Concierge 1BRs and 2BRs have a sleeper chair in the living area. The Value 1BRs/2BRs do not have enough room to open a sleeper chair in addition to the pullout sofa since Value rooms are smaller than the other booking categories. That's why the occupancy numbers are smaller for Value 1BRs and 2BRs (4 and 8 respectively instead of 5 and 9 for the other booking categories).

The pool tables are in the Jambo House GVs only.

Good to know thanks so much !

We prefer KV. For us to walk to Jambo is no big deal. Just a 10 min walk. I like the hot tub at Jambo better but the pool and slide at KV way better. KV has a nice small feel to it as compared to Jambo but they are both so close it is not that big of a deal.

I prefer Jambo's studios, but the extra bathroom in the 1-2 bedrooms win me over to Kidani for those type of stays. I'm trying my first standard view 1 bedroom stay in March with DSis and a friend. This is really a test case to see if the nicer amenities can win trump savannah view studios for us gals!
