We've stayed at Jambo house several times BEFORE they opened up the Villa's. We will be staying at AKV-Kidani in May. However, I need to make ressies this weekend for our January 2011 trip.

I know where the self-parking is for AKV Jambo house but where exactly is the parking in relation to Kidani Village? I thought I have read its underneath the Village as well as right next to the Village but compared to Jambo house which is self-parking lot is easier/quicker to get to - Jambo or Kidani?

We will be staying for 9 nights at AKV and planned to drive 50% or more at WDW but ALSO to Universal studios a few days so with two small kids I wanted to be able to park close to where we sleep.

TIA

don't know for sure - but parking underneath implies that you will have an elevator to take you pretty close to your car.

so Kidani

We were at Kidani Nov. 2009. Parking is great, right below your rooms. Park near an elevator for quicker access. The main problem with Kidani is no counter service. We found that after driving back from the parks, we would stop at Jambo, park, go get something to-go from the Mara, and then back to Kidani.

Awesome parking at Kidani. Huge undergrounding parking facility with multiple elevators. At check-in, they will tell you which section to park in to be closest to your room.

That was a big advantage for Kidani when I stayed there in June. Parking is on level 1, most of it is covered, out of the sun. Then you just get on an elevator straight up to your room floor, you don't have to go through the lobby.

Thanks everyone for the responses. Definetly help make my decision - Kidani it is!! I have to call MS on Sunday and will book the Kidani - One bedroom Standard View (don't want to spend the points on Savannah View as we've done Savannah view before at Jambo and while nice not work the extra 50pts this time for us).

Thanks again!!!

Love the parking at Kidani!

It's underground, in the shade, & so nice to come back to a car that's not 100 million degrees from sitting in the sun all day. :thumbsup2
