The only HA Value room I'm aware of is 5010, a 1BR. I'm not an expert on HA rooms but from what I've read here, there are two types: those with a roll-in shower and those without. Room 5010 does NOT have a roll-in shower.

Here is a list of all of the HA rooms in Jambo House, based on the floor plans. Rooms that have been verified as HA are marked with an "*".

Not at all! They face the pool, the sunset savannah or the parking lot. I think only 2 two bedroom lock offs face the parking lot. I have had 12 value villas over the years, and only once had a parking view, that really was vegetation.

The Value rooms are a great deal. The views are not bad at all for the price. As Bobbi said, even if you get one of the few parking lot view Value rooms, there is a lot of vegetation between your balcony and the parking lot.

The Value rooms are cheaper because they are smaller, not because they have bad views. They are about 3 feet shorter from the entry door to the balcony compared to the Standard View and Savanna View rooms in Jambo House.

If I'm reading the map correctly, all but 2 value studios (5131, 5133) face a savannah or pool? Sounds pretty good. Also, we're traveling with family who are staying in a standard view room (not DVC room)in Jambo. Where would these be located on the map? I know they'll be on a different floor. thks

standard at jambo house would be the yellow chalk lines on the map above. (mostly pool view, although a couple of other rooms may have been re-characterized - lisas is the expert.)

(edited to add: that is referring to the DVC rooms - not the hotel side. sorry.)

The Standard View hotel rooms in Jambo House face the parking lot. There are 26 of them on the 5th floor (the rooms in white on that room map), the rest are on the lower floors along the parking lot side of the Giraffe and Ostrich trails or over the main entrance. So your other family members could end up on the "DVC" floor in one of the 26 Standard View hotel rooms on that floor that were not converted to DVC Value rooms. Otherwise they will be on a lower floor but along the same trails as the DVC Value rooms.

If the AKL standard view rooms were reserved through Disney and are not DVC villa rooms, it is not exactly clear what the parameters of standard view are. Disney defines it as either parking lot or roof view and has a separate booking category for pool view and savanna view. That would mean those rooms facing the front of the resort in the same area as the DVC value rooms would be standard view but standard could also include some rooms in the pool area that have overhanging roofing outside the rooms, or look over the roof of the sitting area outside of Mara's, in the area between the pool and the ground floor entrance to the building.
