AKV Jambo standard studio room request suggestions

I know I have seen it on here many times, but cannot find it now when I search.
I know someone on here often recommends some standard rooms that still have savannah view or partial and are nearer to the lobby.
Does anyone know?

Are you at Jambo or Kidani? I tend to stay at Jambo & ask for Kudu trail which, if you get it, will face Sunset savanna.

Thank you. I remembered Kudu Trail. Is that and near lobby all I need to ask for? Seems like there was something else.

For Jambo I just request Kudu trail when I have a standard villa booked, when I was there in Dec. I was pretty far from the lobby but saw a lot of animals because the villa was near the barn. I don’t mind the walk, but if you do you might request near the lobby - although the elevators are down the halls where the first pod of rooms sticks out on Kudu & Zebra trails, - see this resort map for where the elevators are located

Funny I was just searching for the same and found this post instead. Bumping for any additional insights.

I have Kidani savanna view waitlisted and Jambo standard view booked because it’s all I can get right now.

I was at Jambo May 4-8 in room 5584. It was down at the end of the hall on Zebra Trail outside. Very last room, Grand Villa on the end. It was a very long walk, so may not be great with kids, but it was a fabulous view! I had animals all the time, I could even see them from the bed! When I checked in I knew it was as far away from the lobby as could be and asked for something closer. Nothing was available that day, but they would try the next day. After being in the room with the great view overnight, I called in the morning and said I would stay there.
If you know you want savannah, I highly recommend it, if you don't mind the walk. It is probably filled later, because people don't want the long walk. And saves the extra points for your next trip.

I’d love to get one of those Zebra trail rooms that overlook Uzima savanna w/ a standard view, but am afraid that if I tried to request one the room assigner would just see Zebra trail & I’d end up overlooking the pool - which ironically at any other resort I’d consider a nice location & view .
