AKV, here we come. June 1-8 11/15.. Finally BACK!

Yayy!!!!! I love your tr's It's on my desktop on my mac so everyday I check it!!! Looks like you had a ton of fun on the gmr!!! That was the first ride I went on this past trip and loved it! We walked right on and I agree, it is definitely relaxing!! The only thing that made me angry was that my dslr battery died so I had to bring my crappy point and shoot to take pics with :( My mom would yell at me for using flash on the rides lol!! What prop is that from the star wars area? I love the one man's dream! This past trip was the first time i'd ever been in there and I loved it!!! The models were amazing! All I could think of when I walked in there was how Finn from the kingdom keepers books series snuck into walt's office in there and it made it feel so much more real!!!! Did you see the sparkly "road" in there? I loved it so much that I took a picture of it and told my mom that I wanted that for my bathroom in my apartment :) Can't wait for another update!!!

Yay!! An update!!! So glad your back!! We're taking Logan again in sept either for labor day weekend or for MNSSHP!! I think it'll be soo cute and fun to take him trick or treating in MK! Can't wait to read more! :flower3:

I am glad to have more time for the dis! Awww, MNSSHP is so much fun! He will love it.

Great update Lynn! Keep em coming!:yay:

Thanks! I have one coming up.

Hurray for being done with school for the rest of the summer! That means more updates, right? ;)

The Great Movie Ride is very relaxing -- we ride it for the exact same reason! :lmao:

We finally did One Man's Dream on our trip! I could spend hours looking at all the displays -- so neat!

YAY!! I am so happy! Yeah, lots more. Hopefully, I can start my PTR for the cruise, and finish this one before September. Isn't it really neat. I took a ton of pictures in there, but did not want to bore you guys with all of them, lol.

Yay for an update! Love the pictures of the models. I've never noticed that Cinderlla poster before -- very cool!

Thanks! I took pics of all the models, but did not post them all. Do you go to Disney soon? Or did you already go? Forgive me, my brain is fried, lol.

Oh, I noticed that poster for the first time, so that is why I took the pic of it.

Yay! An update! And Yay for being done your classes for the summer!

We have not done One Man's Dream yet since the kids are little. But we've decided we're dragging them in there on our next trip! Looks like there's a lot of really cool things in there!

There is a lot of cool things in there and a video as well. But, we have not watched it yet. I hear it is sad.

Yay! So glad you're back and that you have the rest of the summer to relax! You deserve it. :) Good luck on your math and English finals...I know you'll kick butt!

Love your pics from GMR. I agree with you and Tim. It's always such a relaxing break from hustling around and the heat.

Looking forward to more!

Hi! I did well on my final : ). A in pre-calc!!! YAY!

I saw your status on fb that you were done with classes. :woohoo: yay for a new update!

Great pictures of GMR! They look fantastic! My pictures never turn out like that, always dark!

Thanks!! I am so happy. Beach, here I come!

Congrats on finishing up summer school! I love summer courses because even though they are intense they go FAST and boom, 3 credits each! Woohooo!!! Hey I looked for the book at the DVC stand in MK when we were there and I think someone took it, it was gone!!! I was NOT happy, the CM must have wondered what the heck I was doing, poking around on the shelves, and then looking angry LOL. Anyway, nice update!!

Thanks!! Yeah, my English class flew right by! Really? I knew I should not have posted about it...somebody probably took it. Were any of the books there?

I am just getting caught up on your TR :goodvibes Glad that I found it on the boards! I am getting geared up to take DBF for his first trip to disney in just 2 months and also run the wine and dine half marathon while we are there :scared1:

I really have enjoyed seeing all the pictures...if you dont mind me asking what kind of camera do you have? We are looking to buy a new one possibly before the trip!

Hey! Oh, that is awesome. I love going to Disney with people for their first time! Have fun with the half. I wish I could do it... my dream is to do the Princess. But with school, I am not able to do them.

I have a canon rebel xs, and I use the nifty fifty lens a lot along with my stock lens and zoom lens.

Great update, as usual. Awesome GMR pictures-- we love it no matter the bad rap it gets!! The "Singing in the Rain" picture is so ridiculously clear!!
Thanks! Yeah, I do not care what people think about it, lol. As long as you enjoy it, then that is all that matters.

I saw this installment posted last night, but noticed that it said "continued in next post" at the bottom, so I didn't want to comment and interrupt the flow. I guess it wasn't really continued. :rotfl:

Your pictures are always so great! I've gotta get that nifty fifty lens.

Oopsies, lol! I was going to, but I did not, lol. Yeah, you have to.

Hi. With a nifty fifty lens you don't have to use the flash on the rides. Not sure if you knew that.

It was some thing you stick your hands where the bounty hunters were. Yeah, I have seen it! Update coming.

I am so happy right now! Last night I took my pre-calc final and........ GOT AN A!!! My final grade was an A! YAY! Hopefully, I can do just as well with Calculus!

CONTINUED.....

We checked out the store near the backlot tour to look at some of the star wars merchandise. I thought this shirt was cute, lol.

Tim did not get anything. He was waiting for Star Wars Day to buy the special pins and merchandise from the special store. I forget the name. It may have been Boba's Bounty. Boba Fett is Tim's favorite!!

When we got out of the store, we decided to head over to Pizza Planet for lunch. Along the way, I had to stop for one of my favorite photo spots!!

and then we stopped on the streets of San Francisco and New York for some photopass shots.

In this pic, the guy made us kiss..
Photo0067.jpg

and he kept saying hold it, hold it, hold it, hold it, and finally I did this...
Photo0069.jpg

LOL!! I was like, how long do you want us to hold the kiss? Then I realized it was just to get a funny pic of us being like, WTH, LOL!!

Next stop, PIZZA PLANET! LOL!

I had a pepperoni pizza and for dessert, I got.....

IMG_8116.jpg

YUM!!

After lunch, we went into the Star Wars store near Star Tours.

Tim loved this helmet, lol.
IMG_8117.jpg

Since we do not ride Star Toursbecause it makes us feel like crap, lol, we headed back over to Animation Studios to go draw.

I took a pic of one of the props where the evil bear lives, lol, while Tim waited in the academy area.
IMG_8119.jpg

Then took some pics of the movie posters.
IMG_8120.jpg

Okay, so last time I was here, this movie was called Rapunzel.
IMG_8121.jpg

Now it is called Twisted. I googled when I got home to find out why they changed the name. Apparently, they thought that the name would not appeal to boys.

When I made it back to Tim, we were ready to go in. We drew Donald.

After drawing, we headed back over to TSM!

shocker..
IMG_8127.jpg

and why am I not surprised???
IMG_8128.jpg

This was the time when we got off. An hr is not that bad for that time of the day.
IMG_8130.jpg

After TSM, I went into one of the stores on Hollywood BLVD to see if they had that dress I mentioned earlier in my TR. They had it, but not in my size. I needed an XS. The small was like the size of a large. Disney sizes run really big. Even the XS that Disney carries are sometimes too big for me. I cannot stand baggy clothes. So oh well! I figured I could find it in DTD.

Coming up next.... A very wet trip to DTD, Epcot, and Chefs de France.

TSM! I love it, I love it! I can't wait to go on that ride! :)

Nice photopass pic. :rotfl:

Congrats on your A! :woohoo:

Awesome update!!! I love the singing in the rain umbrella!! I found that back in 08 and it's now a picture spot for me every time! My brother loved that star wars shop! He was in heaven!

Woo hoo on your A!!
Great afternoon at DTD-- Pizza Planet is our favorite CS in DHS!! The Donald pictures are terrific-- we love the animation class. Nice way to get out of the heat.
I totally agree on the bagginess of Disney clothes. I bought a tank top at CA Adventure in 2007 and was surprised that the Medium looked like it would fit-- I never wear a medium, usually a small, XS at some places! Get home and double-check the tag-- it's a youth medium! Fits perfect lol.

Cute pics.. I like the one of you and Tim kissing, and then the realization of it all hahaha... nice.

I see how crowded it is there..... dang, looks like you guys got hit hard (sarcasm!!) lol

Fun updates! Good job on the A in preCalc!:thumbsup2

I love that you can see the raindrops in your umbrella pic. Your dress is super cute in that pic, too!

Too funny about the kissing pics, and I about died laughing seeing Tim modeling the Boba Fett helmet! :lmao:

Yeay! You got to draw Donald!

I love that Boba Fett helmet!

You guys did a really nice job on your Donald drawings. It's amazing how they can take a non-artist and have them turn out some really good stuff!

I am so happy right now! Last night I took my pre-calc final and........ GOT AN A!!! My final grade was an A! YAY! Hopefully, I can do just as well with Calculus!

Congrats on the A. I'm sure you will do fine.

Great update! I can't wait to go back for Christmas time and go to Hollywood studios. I haven't been there is so long. I love the Great Movie Ride - I didn't know Jack was in there - can't wait.

YAY! Congratulations on your A! I love the kissing and afterward pics! Too funny! And we love the Singing in the Rain umbrella too - I make Emma pose there every time (sweet girl, she still humors me). I skipped Star Tours this time too because it makes me sicky too. I can ride TOT and RNR all day, but for some reason ST just affects me differently.

PS - The other books WERE still there at the DVC kiosk. The other one disappeared pretty quickly because I checked on July 9 - not too long after you were there! :confused3

Freaking LOVE that Mr. Potato Head shirt...awesome!!!!

Nope, we're going at the end of August and time is D-R-A-G-G-I-N-G! Seriously, so slow.

Gotta love the umbrella for photo ops!

Tim modeling the helmet was hilarious!

Congrats on your A :woohoo:

Hey Lynn, great update!
I couldn't agree more with the ridiculous sizes at Disney! I am by no means a skinny girl (I usually buy M or maybe S at most store) but I find that I have to go down to XS for Disney clothes like tshirts. I really feel badly for girls who actually are very tiny because they would not be able to wear most Disney clothes - well maybe kids!

Weird enough, just before I read your TR DH was telling me useless :rolleyes1 star wars stuff and was telling me about how cool boba fett was. Then I read your post with Tim with the boba fett helmet! Lol I think the first time I brought DH to Disney back in 2007 he stuck that helmet on my head in the store!

I love your wth picture!!!! :thumbsup2
I love walking through OMD....a lot of it reminds me of visits from when I was there as a child and toys from my childhood too....my lunchbox is in there!!!
Donald turned out great....I think yours looks better than Tim's and he is the huge Donald fan!! :worship:
Oooh looking forward to your DTD day :goodvibes

Tracy

Hey Lynn!

Reading through your report I just realize that the day of your last post I was on Hollywood Studios as well...Training to be a PhotoPass photographer for MK. How cool!

Love your post and your photos!
