First off good morning everyone! I hope everyone is having a wonderful start to their Friday today!! I was just wondering if anyone who has stayed in a GV whether it be AKV or another DVC knows about how many outlets you figure it has. I ask because I will have 2 small children with us and want to make sure I'll have more then enough outlet covers. We were in WDW back in 2008and stayed at POP. We only had one child at that time and well the room was a lot smaller then a GV so 1 ziplock bag full was way more then enough. I'm just afraid with all the rooms I might need to buy more then 2 boxes LOL. Can anyone take a guess at how many you think I might need? Thank you in advance for the help! :)

I have stayed at AKV and SSR GV. I would guess at least one per small wall and maybe two for the longer walls per room. Each of the newest GV have 4 bathrooms, 3 brdrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, foyer(AKV Jambo has 2 foyers) SSR on the 2nd floor has a seperate sitting area as does AKV Kidani, laundry room. You will need alot of outlet covers. Susan

I think I just hit the floor LOL! I figured there was going to be a lot. I'm thinking I'll just buy 2 or 3 new boxes and bring them with us. If I don't have enough I can always run out and get more. I'm probably going to have to get something to keep the cabinet doors closed also. It just hit me at HOW big the room is going to be and how many rooms there are lol. I completely forgot I would need more child safety things.

Thank you so much for your response!! It is very much appreciated!!

Just so you know they probably have those new outlets that do not allow for kids to put things in them. I forget what they are called sorry. We stayed at the treehouses this past winter and were afraid my 1yr old would get into them, but my father said they were the new type that have the saftey on them. I can see bringing a few for the out in the open ones, but I don't think it would be necessary to cover them all. Ofcourse you do need your piece of mind, so you need to do what is best.

I don't remember about AKV GV but SSR did not have the knew outlets. We had someone with us who had to go around and put the covers on the outlets and it seemed like it took him awhile..... Susan
