So my fiance and I are headed down the first Wednesday in May for our Disney wedding planning session. I called MS this afternoon to make our reservation, assuming we would have to stay at OKW or SSR since it is pretty last minute. Just for kicks I had her check everywhere, and was floored when she found a studio for our night (May 14th) at AKV! So to the member who must have cancelled that room within minutes of my booking, THANK YOU!!!:cool1: I also scored an ADR at Jiko for dinner that night too! Guess its my lucky day...

Congratulations! We stayed at AKV in October and will be heading back in 26 days!!!

Wow, that's great to hear! It just goes to show that it never hurts to ask. When are you getting married, I'm assuming you're getting married in Disney?

Yea I was shocked when she had the availability. On top of that, today I called and got a studio at boardwalk for April 9th. Forget this planning in advance nonsense:rotfl:

We are getting married in December at Seabreeze Point, which is the pavillion on the lake in between Boardwalk and the International Gateway. Thanks for asking!:thumbsup2

One time I was able to get a studio at BCV a week before for 1 night (early February). Never hurts to try! On the other hand, I tried for a Sunday night in mid October about 3 weeks before and there was nothing, regardless of resort or room size. I used points for POFQ (before the $95 fee).

Last-minute pixie dust is certainly possible...on March 3 (5 days ago!), college son called to ask if we could go to Disney for spring break (starting 3/16)...I gulped and said sure but there's no way we'll get in...but I'll call.

Well...I can't believe our luck...we got four nights (and could have had five) at OKW...at first, we had to move every night...one-bedroom, studio, studio at HH, one-bedroom...now, we have two nights in the same one-bedroom near the HH, then a studio near the HH and then a one-bedroom near the HH, so our moving should be relatively painless...and I'm still calling each day in hopes of getting that last night in a one-bedroom -- if I get that we won't have to move at all...I feel a bit greedy even hoping for it!

Whether we get that last night or not, I'm in shock that I could get us four nights at the same resort during spring break (and the week before Easter to boot)...

So...pixie dust can happen!

Woooo... congrats from another Sea Breeze Point bride! Truly the best ceremony location in WDW. :)

Huzzah, hurray and it all goes to prove there IS pixie dust/magic in our world!

Today, I got the 4th night (in an HH-area 1-BR at OKW)...so our reservation--for premier season (week before Easter), started 12 days out, came through in spades! We're in the same room all four nights, and near the HH to boot!

We are SOOOOOO excited.

It took 5 days of daily calls, including a couple of days when I called twice...but it worked. We're thrilled! Did I mention how happy we are?

Our first time at WDW during a "premier season" (busiest before this was T-giving)...it'll be wonderful, no matter how crowded it is, tho...

Yay!!!
