We're staying at AKV for 5 nights, then (maybe) spending 1 night at the new Legoland resort.

We're spending Wednesday night at AKV, plan to visit Legoland on Thursday and spend Thursday night at the Legoland resort, then return home on Friday.

I need some advice on the check-out/check-in process. If we check-out of AKV in the morning and go straight to the Legoland park, then we'll have to leave our bags in the car and pay for parking.

If we go to the resort first and drop off our bags (assuming they can store them), would we be able to take the shuttle to the park before checking in? Would that take too long? Would we have enough time at the park if we get there at noon or so?

Thanks in advance!

PS: we cannot extend our stay at AKV (we're renting DVC points)

If it is The Legoland Hotel ...... it is just a 5 min walk from the entrance.

It is a approx. 45 min drive to get there via Hwy 192 East to Join Hwy 27 South

& take signed Turn Right for LEGOLAND

Check into Hotel , Park car at Hotel & walk to the park entrance

Legoland hotel/resort is on the grounds of Legoland literally. Looks like a Lego from the outside. They use the same parking lot (special area roped off for hotel guests). FYI for those who haven't been and are wondering!

Yes, 2Gma is right! You'll have no problem there! Check out of AKV and go straight to the Legoland Hotel. It's the same parking lot/entrance as if you were a day guest at Legoland park. Tell them you are staying at the hotel and they'll check your reservation on a master list, give you a parking pass and let you through. You'll be able to park for free and leave your bags with bell services if your room isn't ready. Then walk the 50 or so steps to the park entrance. It couldn't be any closer! We could see the rides from our room window! As for timing, it depends when you are going and what you want to see. The park can close early. We were there over the summer and it was open until 7:00pm. during the week. Getting there at noon, you probably can't do everything but you can see most of it. If the rides for the lines are long when you arrive, leave those until later in the day and walk through Miniland (amazing), see the 3D movies, do the character meets, go to the interactive build areas, etc. The waterskiing show is really fun too!

Be sure to take some time to enjoy the resort! It is really unique. We loved it! They have free master builder classes several times a day and the kids get to keep their build, a nightly lego building competition and pajama dance party and character encounters in the lobby and restaurant. The dinner buffet is very good and reasonably priced. (If you reserve in advance, I think it is $55 for a family of 4.)

Have a great trip! We love AKV too!!
