AKV and annual dues

We just became first time DVC owners at AKV in November. Should we have gotten anything yet about annual dues? Does it come in the regular mail?

You should have gotten a statement, but you can look it up on the DVC member site. If you pay monthly through a bank debit, the statement woudl have should how much your payments would be for the 2008 calendar year.

well I haven't gotten anything in the mail, and under annual dues online nothing shows up. interesting. also, shouldn't I be able to view my current reservations online? those aren't there as well.

Has your contract closed yet? If not, you would not yet be paying dues. I would also recommend checking the member site.

I believe our contract is closed, we paid upfront for it back in November, and I can't find anything on the members site about our dues. I see where it should be, but no link to look at a statement is there.


Guess I"ll be calling member services on Monday!

We don't close until the 19th of this month and we got a statement in the mail. I would give MS a call.

For AKV, your dues begin on the LATER of: your purchase date, your initial Use Year and the occupancy date of your Unit.

For example, I purchased AKV in February 2007, the Unit I purchased had an occupancy date of Sep 1, 2007 and my initial Use Year was Oct 2007, so I didn't start paying dues until Oct 1, 2007.

What is your starting Use Year, was it in 2007 or is it in 2008? What month? What is the occupancy date of the unit you purchased, was it in 2007 or is it in 2008? If your dues don't begin until partway into 2008 due to your initial UY or your occupancy date, you won't be billed until that time.

thanks Lisa! I checked our documents and the occupancy date is Jan. 29, 2008. guess that's why we haven't seen anything yet...
