Has anyone stayed at both a value studio and a standard studio at AKL?
If so what is the difference?
Thank you!

The value rooms are smaller than any other rooms, e.g., the studio is about 315 sq ft compared to about 360 for standard and savanna view rooms. Also, because of that, the value 1BRs and 2BRs do not have the sleeper chair in the living room that the other 1 and 2BRs have. The values are all at the front part of Jambo and can have pool (40%), savanna (40%), or parking lot (20%) view; standards at Jambo have pool view except a few have partial savanna views. For value, you cannot request view and it is luck of the draw.
Values are of limited number and they can disappear quickly after the 11 month reservation window opens.
There are no sleeper chairs in studios at all .
PP indicated that for the 1B and 2B value rooms, not the studios.
I have stayed in both value and standard view studios at Jambo. I much prefer value due to the location of the rooms. Originally, I love the standard view studio category, then they went and reclassified some of the savanna view to standard view because they were less than desirable. And that less than desirable view got me in the very last room of the resort TWICE.The value studio is noticeably smaller than the standard, but I still prefer it.

Thank you. It's just for 2 people, does that make a difference in your mind?

I believe that only some of the studios are set up that way. In Jambo House, some lockoffs have the connecting door in the living area rather than in the entry way. In order to have enough room around that doorway they have to put the sofa across from the connecting door and put the bed next to the sliding doors. The only thing I noted on value studios is that the bad and sofa are reversed, so that the bed is right next to the sliding glass door. I wonder if an extremely light sleeper might note noise from outside, being so close.
