I'm considering making reservations for dinner at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We will not have a car, and will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge. This will be in November, when the Magic Kingdom may be closing around 6:00. Does anyone know how long after the park closes the launches run from the Magic Kingdom to the Wilderness Lodge? My idea was to take a bus from AKL to the MK, then take the boat, but I'm not sure this will work since the Magic Kingdom will be closing so early.

We were in the same situation and found it much easier to just take a taxi. I can't remember exactly how much it cost but it was reasonable and well worth the cost.

I think that the latest running buses are those to DTD and PL, so you could always take that route and change to the WL resort bus at that stop.

I agree. We use cabs pretty frequently while in WDW. If you go to another hotel for a late dinner or a few drinks, there really is no easy way to get back to your resort. Cabs are convenient and inexpensve.

How about an AKL bus to Epcot and then catch the WL bus. I don't know why the DD route always seems to take much longer, but it does.

Or, can you pick the night that MK has EMH's, because the boats will run later then.

The cab will be most efficient, but you're going from one end of the property to the other. Depends on how much you're willing to spend. It could be worth it.
