AKL sandwiched between BCV and OKW-What to do with fridge stuff?

I would imagine there has got to be some of you out there who may have spent some time at a non-DVC resort between two DVC resorts. We planned on staying at BCV, touring Florida for 3 days (we often do that, so we thought we'd check out on the weekend and save the points) and then check back into OKW.

Well after seeing AKL on Great Hotels, (and we've visited for dinner before)DBF decided he wants to spend the 3 days at AKL so my question is this.

What if we have perishables in the fridge? Can you rent a fridge at AKL, or should we make sure they are gone by the time we check out of BCV and then buy new ones when we check into OKW?

Also, if Disney will move our luggage, will they move our stuff in the fridge too?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can indeed rent a fridge at AKL, We go from the Villas there and always rent a fridge!

The fridges for rent a very tiny, though they work well enough.

One thing you might try is just using a cooler and icing it down every morning. This worked very well for us when we stayed there and wanted to have milk, etc. in the room. Just make certain anything that would get waterlogged (like cartons and such) is wrapped up in cellophane.

OR...... you can put your ice cubes in gallon ziplock bags- then water doesn't ooze all over everything!
