AKL room types

Hi. We stayed at AKL in a savannah view room in January.
It had a queen bed and bunk beds. Our parents had a room with 2 queens.

We are traveling with our son who will be nearly 3 in December and exploring our room options.

Are the deluxe rooms bigger? Or do they just have different bed types, such as kings?

Does anyone have pictures of the deluxe rooms or 1 bedroom suites?

Thanks,
Kim

Hey, there, Kim! Here are some links that might help you decide what to do...

The deluxe rooms are bigger. If you stand outside the resort and look upward, you will see that the top floor juts out over the bottom floors. It's by at least a couple of feet. That makes your resort room larger.

I have stayed in both a one-bedroom and two-bedroom suite at the AKL. The suites were large and elegant. Just beautiful. I put my sister up in a savannah view room over the holidays (it was just her & her two kids), and that room was just perfect for them (it was not a deluxe room, as it was on the 3rd floor).

For my suite photos (AKL & otherwise), here is my link:

Does anyone know what part of the 5th floor the concierge rooms are located at? I wanted to be on the 5th floor but I don't know where I should request.

Janet: Thanks for the wonderful information! I just love reading all of your reviews on the suites at Disney. It helps so much!

Are the larger balconies at AKL for the suites? Or do the deluxe rooms have a bit more balcony space too?

We had a standard queen/bunk bed room Savannah view in January.

But after seeing the pictures of some of the wonderful balconies, I'm thinking I may have to splurge for a couple of nights!

Thanks,
Kim

We had a deluxe room on the 5th floor. They are about 50 square feet bigger than a standard room with the addition of a daybed in the room. I believe the balconies are the same size as a standard room would be.
