On our next trip, we will be spending 1 night at AKL before moving on to our room at BWV. I was thinking how nice it would be to order room service in the morning, and have breakfast while watching the animals. Has anyone done this? What did you order? How was it? How big were the portions? Was it worth it, or should we skip the idea and just go to Boma?

Thanks!

My GF and I did this on our last trip. We really enjoyed it. The animals are very active in the morning and it was really nice sitting in our PJ's and eating breakfast watching the animals. We ordered french toast which was pretty good, and the portion size was average. We also had some cereal and fruit and OJ. The food was good,....but it was expensive!!! We paid around $40 for everything!!!! A little expensive but it's a great experiance. :earsboy:

P.S. Don't forget to go out on the savannah at night and look at the animals with the night-vision goggles!!!! :earboy2:

I can't comment on the room service, but I will say that the Boma breakfast if outstanding. The best breakfast I have ever had at disney.

I did It!! Had an omelet, the kids had french toast, eggs, sausage, etc.....It was worth it! I remember the portions being big....

When we stayed last time, I ran down to Mara in the am, got breakfast to go, and brought it back for our "room service"--with much less of a service charge :goodvibes

Thanks everyone! All of the options sound great, too bad we are only there for 1 morning!

WOW, isn't this board Great! you asked about the AKL room service and I was at work thinking I could answer that question.

A co-worker just got back from AKL and brought me a room service menu (but it is at home and I am at work).

Then I see someone gave you the menu!

Also, on the menu is dinner for two on your savannah deck. It is $99.00 a couple. It includes salad, your choice of entree from the menu, "special dessert and your choice of wine.
