Akl room requests

Well I decided to take the plunge! With the latest code from mousesavers I upgraded my AKL stay to a savannah view' We will be going 4/30-5/7 and now need help with a room request. My first question is when to fax and who to fax it too. As far as what room, my dd will be 5 and my ds will be 1 the day we come home! I like the 2nd or 3rd floor idea so my daughter can explore and i think she will be at the pool whenever we are at the hotel. Any help would be appreciated, and let me know if anyone will be there same time. We already have dinner plans for Boma the night of 4/30!

I would request the top floor, or at least the highest non-concierge floor. DH and I stayed at the AKL last Nov. and loved it...it was pretty empty and we were at the end of a hallway on that trip, though. We stayed at the AKL for 2 nights again in Feb., and that was a different story. We were on the 2nd floor for the 1st night, and we could hear people pottying above us! It was NASTY!! We were definitely hearing more than 1 room, too, because we heard people pottying and toilets flushing over and over. We also had very noisy neighbors who argued late into the night (we called the front desk and they finally got them to quiet down well after midnight). We asked to be moved the 2nd night, and while we were on a higher floor in the 2nd room, we could still hear people using the potty I would definitely opt for the highest floor possible, as all the sounds were coming from above us. The AKL is a beautiful resort, but I sure wish that they'd invested in some soundproofing when they built it
