AKL Room Refurbishment

We recently switched our resort from SS to AKL. When we booked, the cast member did mention that the pool at AKL would be closed which is no big deal for us. However, I recently stumbled upon some information showing that the rooms are being refurbished at AKL until mid-2019. Has anyone stayed there recently and is that true? I love hanging in the lobby and relaxing in the afternoon, but if there is tons of construction, I might consider switching resorts. Thanks!

We were there in July and noticed no construction. To be honest, we weren’t looking for it (which is to say I might have just been oblivious ). We stayed in a studio and our room had had a soft goods refurb.

I just got back yesterday and besides the pool, there was no construction anywhere else that I saw!

There is a room refurb at AKL of hotel rooms in the Jambo building underway now. No indication of when it will end.

I wish they would add a 5th bed to AKL rooms! We love AKL but now that our youngest is 3, our family is too big to stay in a regular room.

AKL And WL rooms have less square footage than the other Deluxe. I wonder if there is room.
