I watching the travel channel AKL show today, they showed a room with a living room and then a seperate bedroom.

My question is Does the sofa in the living room fold out into a bed???? And is this type room only on the Conc. Level??

The room they showed was probably a one bedroom suite and the sofa bed does fold out.

The one bedroom suites are located on floors 2,3,4 and 5-according to CRO. I don't think they have any one bedroom suites on floor 6 but I'm sure someone could correct me.

The suites come with concierge service at this time but that could change. I don't think it would but you never know.

The one br suite is pretty pricey. We have one booked in October and it is $710 per night :( I can't get a DC, AAA or AP discount on it, either.

Oh well.

CRO said that all suites come with savannah view but I thought I heard otherwise on these boards.

Sometimes people just book 2 concierge rooms and get a discount and then end up with a suite type room at a cheaper rate than just booking the suite itself.

Hope this helps.

Are you thinking of staying in one?

On ourlaughingplace.com, they have pictures of the one bedroom suite-just click on latest and greatest in the right hand corner.

The bathroom looks awesome. A seperate toilet room, a huge shower and a nice size lavatory.

We are going to stay in one in October because my DH needs a couple of nights of good sleeping so he is going to sleep out in the living room and the kids and I are going to use the br.

Janet2k has posted some pictures of her stay in the 1 and 2br suites at AKL. I'm sure you could do a search for them.

The suite comes with a microwave, fridge and mini bar area.

Of course, you get the use of a fridge free anyway if you stay concierge.

They have a nice size table that seats 4 instead of the smaller table that usually comes in a deluxe room.

If you stay there before we do-post a trip report. I'd love to hear it.

I'm doing research right now,for a trip that maybe on these dates. 1/1-1/10/04 We are a family that needs 2 seperate sleeping areas.

The suites look really nice! They also have connecting rooms at AKL, so maybe that would be an option?

Are connecting rooms garenteed?? I didn't think that WDW did that??

Connecting rooms are guaranteed if you have, for example, 2 adults and then 2,3,4, etc. children. If you have a 3rd adult then they don't guarantee because that 3rd adult could be in the 2nd room with some children.

We originally had 2 rooms booked and our reservation said "Guaranteed connecting rooms for families". We have switched to a 1br suite because we want more room to move around.

Just mention it when you call to make a ressie if you need connecting rooms and you fall into the proper guidelines.

I don't know what guaranteed connecting rooms does to your chances of getting or not getting the view you want. Let's say you book 2 connecting pool view rooms and when you check in they only have connecting rooms with a savannah view-maybe you would get upgraged.

Also, I thought I read somewhere on these boards that someone booke a 1br suite and they checked in and it was a King bed in the bedroom and they didn't have enough sleeping room for their family-so I don't know if you have to request 2 queens in your sleeping room when you book a suite-I am going to call back and make sure we have 2 queens.

I'm really glad I booked the suite and can't wait to go.
