AKL room preference question.

Doing some more research for the next Disney trip. We are wanting to stay at the AKL. Kids want to stay in the rooms that over look the savannah that have the Kudu. The savannah is the Uzima. Has anyone stayed in these rooms??? And do you have any suggestions as to which rooms have the best views of Uzima???

In my experience (2x AKL) it doesn't matter where you request because you won't get it. I would suggest planning on getting there very early in the morning if you want a good view.

I've also stayed there twice, the last time being just last month. Both times I made requests when making my reservation and both times I got everything I asked for (specific savanna, floor and non-smoking). Also, both times I checked-in in the late afternoon after spending some time in the parks. After reading melvin's response, maybe I got lucky?

We've only stayed at AKL once but we received all our room requests. We were there in January and checked in on a Tuesday. I think a mid-week check-in is helpful, but in general the front desk there was quite accommodating.
