AKL Review & PHOTOS!

We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge from 8/21 tp 8/27.
We had a savannah view room 4521 which is on the Zebra trail.
This room has a great location not too far from the elevators and just an elevator ride down to the pool , Mara ,Boma, Jiko and Laundrey. I was concerned because we were arriving from the West Coast (Seattle) at 11.45 PM , that we would not get our requests, I had our Dreams unlimited agent request bunkbeds , close to pool and food and an UNOBTRUCTED savannah view.
We received all our requests and the service and the resort are wonderful! We ate at Jiko at Boma and my boys ate at Mara when we went to Jiko. All eaterys were awesome! Also the bus service was great, hardly ever over a 5 min wait .Can't wait to go back! Check my photos out!

Great pictures! We're staying AKL concierge in December and really looking forward to it. I've even got my husband to get excited about this trip, which is a very big feat in itself because WDW doesn't really excite him (except for golfing there!). Everytime someone posts new AKL pictures from their trip I make sure to show my DH to keep the excitement going!

I noticed on one of the pictures that the person in it had binoculars. Can you see the animals without binoculars?

You don't need them to see the animals. All of the photos were taken as is.....without a telephoto or zoom lens. In our romm 4521
the were right up pretty close.

We stayed at AKL in Jan. and I must say your pictures are a very accurate portrait of the resort. It makes me long to be back there. It is such a relaxing place to be. We were in Room 4435 which was 2 sections back towards Arusha Rock but on the same level as your room. I think anyone wishing to see the giraffes should definitely request that side of the resort because that is where the main feeder is. You have some great shots of the giraffes. I wonder, I didn't see any zebra in your pictures. Were they still there? We saw them quite a bit too during our stay. I have some wonderful video of three zebras playing tag.
