stayed at AKL from 4/24 to 4/27, and it was great! Minor mixup on checkin where they didn't have us down for the discount rate, but it was fixed within 5 minutes. Other than that, check in was quick and painless.

Requested a room on the Zebra trail, 2nd or 3rd floor in front of a giraffe feeder. Also asked for bunk beds. We got it all! Room 3507 -- if you want bunk beds and a great view, get this room! We saw giraffes all day and night and everything else. I'd say Room 3509 and 3511 would be just as good too (not sure if they are bunk beds). These are all Savannah view rooms of course.

Didn't dine at either Jiko or Boma this time, but Mara was fine -- great selection and large seating area.

Walked around and talked to some of the folks that tend th animals and got all of our questions answered.

The pool is great and so is the pool bar (my kids loved the strawberry smoothy, which they were happy to split into 3 cups). We swam pretty much every day. The slide is a bit tame, but still good. 2 great spas too that rarely had people in them.

Probably now our favorite resort (or tied with WL).

I'm glad you enjoyed AKL, it's a beautiful resort. My kids loved the bunk bed rooms and the savanna views are so worthwhile. I sat on the balcony so much just watching the animals.

That really is a great view! We were in the same section a couple floors up and spent a lot of time viewing the animals from our balcony.
