DW was wondering if in our rooms, they have hairdryers and also do they have seperate shampoo & conditioner bottles? Can we get extra each day? It's me and my 3 girls, after swimming everyday, they'll need showers. Thanks, YO

Hi,

There is a hairdryer in the room at the AKL. They give you the bottles of shampoo and conditioner combo. I always take travel sizes of my own shampoo. Take at least some travel size conditioner.

There are hairdryers in each room. They are the type that are attached to the wall. They are located in the sink/vanity area. I would advise to bring your own shampoo, and especially your own conditioner. Have a wonderful trip to one of my favorite resorts!

Hi coachYO & my 3 girls,

I agree with the previous posters about bringing your own travel size conditioner. Although I love the little bottles of Mickey/Minnie shampoo-conditioner combo, the actual product inside is harsh on our hair. It never seems to feel "conditioned" (soft) like our own conditioner does.

Of course you can go ahead and request extras from housekeeping as soon as you arrive. We always request extra soap and towels since we go swimming a lot and want to take showers after each trip down to the pool.

Thanks, I was just trying not to have to drag the stuff around if we didn't have to. It always seems to open up & get all over everything. (Murhpy's Law) You girls sure make things hard on us guys. I don't even have to use the stuff as I'm folicly (sp?) challenged. At least I can leave the hairdryer home, it just burns me.

Conditioner is a if the girls have long hair, the chlorine is really hard on the hair. DD has blonde hair and hers turns a lovely shade of green if we do not use the right shampoo/conditioner. I always pack the "spillable" stuff in ziploc bags, it avoids the mess in the suitcase!
