Does the AKL have any rooms that have both double size beds and a daybed?I do not want the bunk beds.We need 2 double size beds and a daybed in each of the two room we need.

No double beds at AKL -- only queen size. I do believe that there are some deluxe rooms which have a savannah view, 2 queens and a daybed. The regular rooms, no matter what their view is, do not have daybeds at AKL. They have 2 queens or 1 queen and bunk beds.

No. I believe the rooms with the daybeds are deluxe bunkbed rooms (Queen, bunkbed, daybed). They will be on the 5th floor of the zebra and kudu trails.

I'm not sure if the king bed rooms have the daybed or not.

I meant to say queen size beds.We are staying at the Contemporary in the towers for our first 4 nights and I know that the monorail resorts have 2 queen size beds and a day bed in their rooms, even standard. We have never stayed at the AKL before, but, since we want to stay 3 more nights somewhere (can't afford 3 more nights in the towers because we must have 2 rooms per night because of all the people going).I know that we could stay in the wings but since we are taking a 3 year old (his first WDW trip) AKL sounded like something he'd love.Bunkbeds are out for us because of all of the adults going. We were thinking of POR but since the beds are smaller and I know that they do have trundle beds,I don't think we'd like some many going (even with 2 rooms)and having the full size beds instead of queens and no daybeds.Daybeds work great for us because my husband had a total knee replacement that left his leg and knee unable to move and bend very much,so,he likes the daybed, also, with the daybeds most of us would have a bed to ourselves, and that works out great for us.So,Thanks for all the help. Not sure what to do now.

The top bunk of the bunk beds have a bed rail all around the bed if that helps. Your 3 yr old could sleep in the top bunk if he wanted and you were comfortable with that with the bed rails.

You could consider getting 3 rooms at the moderate resort. That would probably cost about the same as 2 at the AKL. Then you could have 3 bathrooms too!
