Does anyone know if you can still rent the value villas in the original lodge or are these rooms now no longer DVC villas ? I dont really want to go to the new resort but wouldnt mind staying in the original lodge.

Yes, you can. I just booked a value studio for the end of June. Unplanned, last minute trip so it was great to save some points!

My reservation in a value villa is in October. To the best of my knowledge, the value villas will always be DVC. At least they'd better be-I love them!

The value villas are slightly smaller studios, right? And studio means no washer dryer and no closed off bedroom, correct?

I'm trying to figure out exactly what a "value" villa is at AKL. I understand they are smaller, and Studio and 1BR sleep 4 and a 2 BR sleeps 8. What view do you have and are there any other differences? Thanks:confused:

Correct, studios means no washer and dryer in the villa, but there is access to the free laundry room. There isn't a bedroom in the studio. It's all one big space (well, one little/big space).

The Value villas could have a savanna view, pool view or parking lot view. The Value villas are only located at Jambo House. There are none at Kidani Village. Since they are located at Jambo House, the two bedroom is a lock off (made up of a studio and one bedroom villa).
