AKL - Queen w/bunks and Day bed question

Can anyone tell me what I can expect as far as location and view for this type of room. I've seen some threads that the top floors are limited view ??

Also, if they are located on all floors should we request 2nd or 3rd floor?

I could be wrong, but I believe (except for one instance where a very special request was done for a concierge guest) the only rooms with this combination will be on the fifth floor or the sixth floor (concierge). As far as location on the fifth floor, you could reserve either deluxe pool view or deluxe savannah view. The room combinations are scattered throughout the resort, so an exact view could be requested.

We stayed at AKL back in May and they upgraded us to the pool view room, Zebra Trail, 5th floor room 5422, it had a queen bed, bunk bed and a day bed. We had a great view of the pool and surrounding areas. It was in the first block of rooms, right next to a viewing window from which I could see some animals. It was also close to the elevators that take you to the laundry area.

We are confirmed in the Deluxe Savannah Room. I assuming that will have a good view even if we're on the 5th floor. This is my DS 13th birthday and this is all he really wants. He's really been wanting to stay here and see animals from the room. He even asked about night vision glasses.

I prefer the higher floors as you have the expanse of view! If you need/want the queen/bunk/day bed combo make sure to note it with CRO and at check in. Your son is going to love AKL! Don't forget to take a pair of binoculars!

we were on the 5th floor zebra trail, savannah view & it was great. we could see everything. have fun.

We too had a deluxe savannah view (complimentary upgrade at check-in!) that was on the fifth floor. It had one queen, bunk bed, and daybed with a great view.
