AKL Pool Closing for Refurb

Received an email from Disney saying the AKL Uzima Springs Pool and Bar are going to be closed during our 2 week stay from September 8th. They'll be running a shuttle to the Kidani.

Thanks for posting. Kidani is really pretty close, about as far away as the food court from some of the rooms at value & moderate hotels, so shuttle is not needed. But they run the shuttle daily anyway for people who are not able or don't want to walk.
The Kidani pool is a real delight if you have kids. And the pool activities are fun too.

Weird they would start this in Sept when it's still so hot. Seems like Dec-Feb would be a better time frame.

I thought so too. I got the alert and my stay is from 9/9 - 9/15. September and October are still very hot!

Yep, posted the email in the AKL thread. We will be there Nov. 6-10. We are not pool people so we will not change hotels.

Wouldn't this make the Kidani pool kinda crowded? It’s not that large of a pool?
