does anyone have pictures of the Kidani pool?

This is all I have from our Kidani visit in May/June. DH was taking the pictures. I need to make sure I do it instead. I would have taken so many more.

When are you going in April? We will be there from April 14-23th and then 1 night at BLT.:cool1:

I just went through this thread for the first time. And I think I almost cried a little. I have been dying to take my kids and we were planning on a Nov 2010 trip to AKL however... things have come up and there is no way I will be able to afford AKL. :furious: I have been going back and forth with my mother trying to decide if I just want to do WL Nov 2010 or wait till Nov 2011 and stay at AKL. Chances are we won't be back for many years to come so I really wanted to "go all out" and stay AKL....this thread confirmed that and so it looks like I'm waiting and planning a trip Nov 2011 to AKL!!! :jumping2: :cloud9:

I believe AKL is the same price point as W?

Last time I checked, there wasn't that much difference in cost between rooms at WL and AKL (non-Savannah ...) ...

Have you thought of renting points from a DVC member. That is the only way we are able to afford to stay there. The price for our value studio came to almost the same price as the POP.

That’s the problem…. I REALLY want Savannah view if we go here…:cloud9:

I’m sorry do what?:confused3 What does that mean? I’m still sooo new to this!! What is a DVC member?? :surfweb:

It's toooo late :sad2:
Why is it too late? I’m just hearing about this wonderfulness… :sad2:

DVC is Disney Vacation Club, Disney's "timeshare". The Deluxe Villa Resorts are all DVC properties and while you can book them through Disney pacing cash, it is also possible to rent point from a DVC owner and this is substantially cheaper. I don't think it is to late for you since you are planning for November 2010, so I think the PP might be referring to his own trip. For renting points check out the DVC boards and especially this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1709083

Definately not TOO late. DVC members can book 11 months out at their HOME RESORT and 7 months at the others. You are no way even close to being TOO late if you choose to go this route. You are actually in the perfect timeframe window.:thumbsup2 We have rented to OP on a few occasions when we had extra points and they stayed at WL for a fraction of what it would have cost them otherwise during the Holiday season. Don't give up hope and do your homework!

Sorry, my post was too short and egocentric. When I said "too late" it was all about our trip - not the rest of you - sorry :grouphug:

Sorry for the late reply...the 40% off was for Disney Visa Rewards Members. There were a ton of dates. I got another offer in the mail...not sure why...that spans way into 2010 for a range of 30 - 40% off certain resorts. I did some research and it seems those offers are code specific to the person's name. So it can't be transfered. :sad2:

Go on be a devil :) Seriously though you wont regret it, I went in April, and just cant stop thinking about the place ,the smells, the warmth, the cosyness, the feeling of wonderful tropicalness

...Im now working like a monkey to get back there - I'd even go back to disney just for this hotel, nevermind the parks!

Okay, you all talked me into it. Booking AKL today! :yay:

Thanks for all the pics!

I didn't think I'd like this resort and truthfully didn't when we got there. Our keys didn't work and I had to walk all the way back to get it fixed. I thought I made a HUGE mistake. It was just an overnight so I figured I could live with it. When we were ready to checkout I found the place had grown on me. DH and I had a blast just wandering around looking at everything and taking pics. It was like being two little kids wandering around without parents. We're going back this week Dec 3-5 for our anniversary on Friday and going to try Boma for the first time. Of course, we're going to eat at Mara as well b/c the food there is excellent.

I had enough of looking at AKL pictures. I am ready to see it LIVE!
