AKL or WL or both?

HI everyone....well just when I think I have decided, I read another great post making me flip between WL and AKL. So I am beginning to think about 3 & 3 - but wonder what the pros and cons to splitting resorts are.

Any advice/experience greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't switch for only three days we will then have 3 days of your 6 day vacation checking in and out of hotels. I would pick one resort and try the other one on another trip.
My vote would be for AKL.

I vote for a split! I love AKL and WL, and have split our stays on several occasions at different resorts. It's relatively simple, and it feels like you've had two separate vacations.

I vote for you to stay whole trip at WL - if you are splitting then I would split a WL trip with one of the Epcot resorts so you can focus on MK area for part of trip and then Epcot/AK/MGM for other part

They're both great resorts but I like the convenience of being able to go to 2 or 3 parks with no bus riding. I'd stick with the WL.

I agree they are both great resorts, but I would also stay with just one resort, but that is just me! I would choose AKL over any other one!

Hiya Ariel!

We've split our stay for our last two visits to WDW, and it was no big deal (once between WL/YC and last time WL/AKL). Bell Services takes your luggage over to the next resort, and you just check in whenever it's convenient for you -- after breakfast, after touring a park for a half day, or whatever.

It's a great way to experience two resorts in a limited time. We only get to WDW every two years or so, so it would take forever that way to try ALL the resorts -- so two for one is a real cool concept

We love WL as a home away from home, so we always stay there for the first part our stay, to welcome us back. We plan dinner at one of the MK resorts (other than WL), then do the monorail and catch the water pageant and fireworks that night. Bright and early in the AM, we take the launch over to MK and spend the whole day there.

The only drawback that we saw to the AKL was having to drive to all the other resorts. YC was great in its proximity to MGM and Epcot. Wish AKL would have a "backdoor" installed to their sister park
