AKL or ASmov

We have two ressies over Easter.
AKL with savannah view for 210
or Asmov for 109 which do you recommend?

That rate at the AKL is only $5 over what I will pay during value season, with a code!

I say AKL is more special. ASMo is just cute, but very crowded and the buses to the AS resorts pack like sardines, leaving you farther from the point where the AKL bus will leave you. Go for AKL!

We stay at both those resorts each trip. If you can easily afford it, definately go for AKL. Just don't expect your life to ever be the same after that! No ordinary hotel will ever due!

I stayed at ASMo in Jan and loved it!!! However, I had a FL Res rate for $49.00. While I thought that price was very fair, I would not pay 100.00 to stay there, I don't care what season it is!!! Although 200.00 is high, I think it' a good price for AKL during that season. Does that make any sense???? If you can afford to, I would go with AKL. You are getting much more for your money. I'm sorry- I just don't think ASMo is worth 100.00 a night. I would stay there again in a heartbeat for the right price- loved it! I hope I didn't confuse you too much!

I love what jfranklyn said about your life never being the same. The AKL is a wonderful hotel. My DW and I found ourselves not wanting to go to the parks we loved it so much. If you can afford it, I say go with the AKL.

Just another thought. I think it all depends where you are coming from as to whether a hotel is worth is or not. In our neck of the woods, $100 gets you a fairly cheezy Ramada. So getting the All Starts for $100, which are clean, well themed, great pool, etc - seems like a good deal - and getting them for $59 like we did seems like stealing!! But if you come from an area where a $100 a night gets you a fabulous hotel, you're not going to think the All-starts are so great. Perspective is everything.

if money doesn't matter then definitely go with the AKL...
it's certainly nicer than the all star...

however, i'm in the minority on these boards as to the AKL being just this side of paradise...
we liked it, but it's very far from our first choice....i doubt very much we'll ever go back...

Having stayed at both All Stars and AKL, I would pick AKL if money is no object! I guess it depends on how you view your lodgings. If you view it as just a place to sleep and shower and you won't be spending much time at the resort, then, save some money and stay at ASMo. If you will be spending some time at the resort and intend to take in the surroundings, amenities, animal gazing, etc., then pick AKL. AKL doesn't disappoint as far as the amenities offered by a deluxe resort goes. ASMo has great theming and convenient as far as staying on site. Another thing to consider is you might run into crowds during Easter break, in which case, I would definitely consider AKL due to the smaller crowds waiting for the bus.
