AKL online check in requests?

I"m sure this is just one of those silly oversights but can someone just confirm what I am thinking here. Just completed the online check in for our AKV standard studio reservation. Under requests it gave us options of 5th floor and Kudo trail. I did not check either as it is my understanding that all DVC villas are on the 5th floor and there are no standards on kudo trail....those are savannah views? Am I wrong? Thanks. Does anyone know how far out from arrival they actually assign rooms?

There are some Standard View Villas that used to be classified as Savanna View and some of those would have been along the Kudo Trail.

Oh, I see. Thanks for the info. Were they changed because there is no actual animal view from their vantage points? Just wondering if I should request that or not.

And all the DVC units are on the 5th floor right? Besides the concierge on the 6th which I know are a different catagory anyway....

Correct, all non-concierge dvc room at Jambo House are on the 5th floor.

We had one of the reclassified rooms last November. The view included a 'people pen'. There were animals.

But there are many Savannah rooms... They are well worth getting!
