I know that the one bedroom value is only available at Jambo, but what about the standard one bedroom? I also know that the value is smaller than the standard one bedroom. What I don't know is are there different views for the value and standard? I currently have a studio sav view booked for October and I'm contemplating switching to a one bedroom value since we would like the extra space. TIA

Values are smaller versions...only at Jambo...MAY have a pool parking lot or savanah view...these are non-guaranteed room requests. Standard may have anything except savanah view. standard 1bdrms at Kidani will be bigger than standard 1bdrms at Jambo....big difference is the 3rd bathroom and fold out chair (to sleep 5) in Kidani, which is not in Jambo

Don't you mean 2nd bathroom (in a 1BR)? :thumbsup2

Jambo Standard views will be of the Uzima pool area, Kidani Standard views can be pool or parking lot.

Jambo House Standard 1BR villas do have the sleeper chairs, while value 1BR and 2BR do not.

Sorry, yes I mean 2nd bathroom. I am already thinking about our 2bdrm in 2010...HEE HEE.

Are both the value one bedroom & standard one bedroom on the ostrich or giraffe trails at Jambo or does one have the ostrich trail and the other have the giraffe trail?

Both of the short trails (I forget the names) towards the front of Jambo have the value villas. There are a total of 10 2BR value villas, which are all lockoffs, and can be divided into a 1BR/studio. Of the 10, 4 face the pool, 4 face the Sunset Savannah, and 2 face the parking lot.

It's actually my understanding that in fact the 1BR value DOES have the sleeper chair, but due to space limitations, it's physically impossible to unfold both the couch and chair at the same time. I was last there in Apr 08, and know the chair was there, but I didn't check if it unfolded (e.g. sleeper chair) or was a non-folding chair.

What view did your room have? Did you like your view?

Do all one bedroom values have the whirlpool tub?

We had a savanna view, and were very delighted. I'll definitely grant that the value room views of the sunset savanna are generally not as good as views of the arusha and uzima savannas, I was still thrilled. We were in the last villa down that trail (5134 and 5136 if memory serves me).

For this trip, we had three nights at AKV, on rented points, and honestly, the amount of space compared to the price I paid, in such a beautiful resort, I'd have been happy with a view of a dumpster and a bus. :)

As far as I know, yes. The one possible exception might be HA rooms. My wife loved the tub.

Any pictures?

What is a HA room? I had a one bedroom at OKW a few years ago and I just loved that darn tub :goodvibes.
