No one is allowed to complain about their "chilly temperatures", except ME!

Tuesday morning when I was drinking my coffee and eating breakfast it was -22.


NEGATIVE TWENTY-TWO.

And that's NOT the wind chill. That's the real temp.

Tomorrow (Thursday) is supposed to be "the coldest day in 5 years". That means lower than -22! If that is even possible!!!!!!! It's currently -20. I think I may turn into an ice cube soon.

That is cold!!! Oh and it sounds even worse in Celsius: -30!

....my DBro' called me last night to tell me that they are FINALLY buying into the whole DVC thing - soooo, they asked for my opinion on whether they should purchase AKL or the newer ones at the Contemporary.......hmmmm, whaddaya think I told them???

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm CERTAIN you told them AKL............ I mean really.................

But regardless.............. now maybe YOU can go more often..................

Of course, you can eat appetizers only! It's Disney. You can do anything you want! Yay! Phil eats nothing but appetizers sometimes because of his gastric bypass surgery 6 years ago. They've never yelled at him!

Tambu Lounge is always crowded with people waiting for their tables at O'Hana. Especially right now, since Tambu has that TV, with the football playoffs and all the college stuff going on, it's hard to "belly up to the bar."

Thanks for the heads up! Any advice which day there would not be a big sports event being shown on that TV at Tambu between 1/24 and 1/29? I have no idea about US sports and their TV schedules....

A WDW trip once a year should be written into the Constitution!

OH, I agree and also I suggest that when a girl marries.......... it should be in her vows - at least one trip a year.

A little update............ I don't think we are going to be able to get in on the DVC deal............... - It expires before we could possibly use it. DH is in class (for work) and that will go on until Nov. then they go into an outage till Jan. - which is why we don't have a trip planned for this year. I just don't think there is any way we could swing it. I'm sad about it!!! But, you never know what next year will bring!!! It is a great deal for sure though - why couldn't they have offered it when we could actually DO it!!!!!

I am sorry that it did not work out this time, but I will keep my fingers crossed for you that another good deal will come around again!!

I hope I will come back soon with another great review of FF, we will eat there for the first time on this trip and I am really excitd about it!! And I will request Bob!!

This is a sweet, delicious drink that I first had at the pool bar in 2001. The old bartenders know what is it. I always bring the recipe with me just in case.

Nahtazu Recipe from the Uzima Springs Pool Bar:

3/4 oz. Malibu Rum
3/4 oz. Melon Liquor
2 oz. Sour or Daiquiri Mix
4 oz. Pineapple Juice

Shake together over ice. Splash with l/4 oz. Chambord. Garnish with an orange slice and cherry.

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that you both may have to cancel your trips.

I also got an email with an offer to buy into AKLV that said I could save $1,280 or more on my DVC membership. I really, really wanted to do it. My DH even became interested while we were there -- had the audacity to ask me why he's never heard the details. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to direct him to the DVC kisosks, lol. We even had an invitation to a presentation both in our room and from CMs in both Epcot and MK's Frontierland.

But, the deadline was yesterday, and we just couldn't do it right now. I'm hoping they'll continue with incentives. We'l end up paying more, but there's still hope.

I have only been a DVC member since 2006, but the incentives have been pretty much constant. So, when you are ready, I bet that there will be some kind of incentive.

Shhhh. Can I tell you all a secret? I REALLY want to go to WDW for my birthday in May. I don't have any business going. It's too much money. But it's my 50th, and I want to go. I know -- some of you haven't gone in awhile, and I just went ( kimmar ). But I still want to go. Okay - enough pity party. Back to our regularly scheduled AKL-ing. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

Sorry to hear that the DVC may not work out for this year. I hope it happens for you soon!

Well, the big Superbowl isn't till February 1st, so you won't be seeing any professional football. College basketball will be filling the air at that point...it's called "March Madness," coming up, so all the colleges are competing to get into the playoffs.

Woo hoo! I do hope you like it. My reputation is on the line! With Bob, not only will you have a great meal, but you will be duly entertained. Actually, I call it "abused." He has a sarcastic sense of humor, and he loves to bust on you, but it's truly all in good fun. I love to watch him with other tables. People who don't even know who he is. He has people busting a gut about 10 minutes into the meal. If there are kids at the table, he really does a great job with them. Heck, he's raised three of his own, so he is quite experienced.

Jeez, I've played up the Fish and Bob so much, I hope they don't disappoint! I probably shouldn't say anything! Shhhh!

PS...Bob's nights off are typically Wednesday and Thursdays.
