Me and the family will be going down on April 11th for a couple of days and was wondering from anyone who has stayed there of any activities that they do at the resort. We are just planning on hanging out at the resort and so some swimming, and were wondering if the CM's do anything with the kids like pool games. Any help would be great.

Yes, they have pool games for the kids during the day. They have a cool sheet that has all the different animals on them and the kids are suppose to check them off as they see them. There are also CM's around that can tell you about all the animals as well. Our kids really enjoyed it when we were not at the parks. Very nice place and we will be going back. Enjoy!

Over by the pool, I noticed a board listing all the different activities for the week - storytelling, crafts, pool games, etc. There's probably one (a board) in the resort somewhere as well, but I wasn't looking for it. And of course, they always hand out an activities/recreation sheet when you check in.

They were also doing dive-in movies at the pool when we were there.

There is a board that tells you all about the activities. I think they even had a jewelry class while we were there.

Forgot to mention that I will be at AKV Jambo the 11-17th in a Grand Villa! Very much looking forward to it!!!

There is a board at the pool but there is also a board down the hallway from the lobby across from the library and community room, next to the restrooms. Lots of activities like bingo and pool parties, learning stuff about the animals, Disney trivia, and in the community room they have board games and billiards.

It was very cold while we were there but we managed to head out one evening to the fire pit at Kidani. A CM from Africa, Botswana to be exact told us all about the animal preserve and hotel her family owned and how she was heading back the next day to see her family. We talked for a while about the animals on the savannah and back home. It was very educational and great to talk to folks about what they love.

The website aklresort.com has information regarding activities and amenities at Animal Kingdom Lodge and Villas.
