AKL - Kidani 1BR Availability

We are new DVC members and for our next vacation we were looking at a 1BR at the AKL Kidani (5 of us, two teens, need the two bathrooms), we are looking May 28th-June 3. AKL is not our home resort, so I was wondering what the likelihood is that a 1BR at Kidani will be available at the 7 month booking window?

Hard to say for sure, but we have never had a problem at 7 months out for Kidani. In my experience, Jambo seems to fill up faster. There are a ton of rooms from standard to savannah view at Kidani. My advice would be to book a 1 BR at your home resort and at 7 months out, call to have the reservation changed to AKV. Oh and if you get a standard view you can always request a partial savannah view.

There should be little problem getting a 1BR at Kidani most of Jan - Sept, as mentioned it is a large resort.

In general, studios and 2br book up before 1br units.

BLT lake view 1br (also have 2 bathrooms) is also a reasonable request at 7mo. BLT standard and MK view 1br. are much more spotty.

Chances are about 100%. For last four years, AKV Kidani 1BRs, both standard and savanna view, have been open for that time of year even at 5 months out.

It doesn't, but every 1BR at AKV is part of a lock 2BR. So if a studio is available, so will a 1BR, generally speaking, because studios always book before 1 BRs due to the point differential.
