I have a club level studio booked and now mil is joining us and staying in a value studio. Are these rooms guaranteed to be far apart/ on separate floors?

Different floors and not too far apart. All of the Concierge Level DVC Villas are on the 6th floor overlooking the lobby. The Values are on the 5th floor above the entrance to Jambo House.

In the map linked to below, the Concierge Level DVC Villas are directly above those numbered 5202 - 5209 & 5401-5406. The Values are along the Ostrich & Giraffe Trails.

Can you add her to your room reservation using her middle name? That way she can share your CL lounge access and benefits.
